Cerner Extends Tech Partnership with Long-time Client Intermountain

Cerner and its client Intermountain Healthcare have declared a multiyear expansion of their technology partnership, and say they will continue to innovate methods to spice up quality, safety, and affected person and provider experience.
Intermountain has deployed an array of Cerner merchandise throughout its two-dozen hospitals and 210 clinics to drive better outcomes and control prices. In a blog post, Cerner writes the growth will enable it to “continue to extend the speed of innovation and assist effectively deal with business and affected person needs in the future.”
Intermountain, in the meantime, will proceed to work closely with Cerner to guide new developments that work positively for its providers, system operators, and patients, it stated.
Intermountain, which has earned a reputation through the years as a forward-looking IT chief, first inked on with Cerner in 2013 in what was called a “landmark contract,” and since then has developed its deployment throughout its network of hospitals and clinics, with a give attention to open architecture and agile implementation.
In recognition of the innovations he has been capable of realizing with Cerner in the years since, Probst was appointed HIMSS-CHIME CIO of the Year this past month and shall be recognized in March at HIMSS20 in Orlando.
The Intermountain extension is a few good client news for Cerner, which noticed one of its largest and longest-standing customers, AdventHealth, decided this past week to move to competitor Epic.
